BarCamp Kashmir is a community driven technology event on the spirit & philosophy of BarCamps. It is an event motivated by the desire of learning by sharing. It is a place where the IT fraternity of Kashmir gets together to discuss/rant/brainstorm/share opinions about Technologies, Trends, Mobile Internet, Hacking, Blogging, Programming, Web, anything about the technology that interests. The event aims to expose IT community of Kashmir to new trends in IT and boost their technical abilities and skills, besides aiming at attracting  IT communities from outside to Kashmir.

All major IT companies of Kashmir participate in the event and talk about technology. Leading experts from the industry share their experiences with the fellow campers to make them aware of the industry best practices as well as emerging trends in IT. The event attempts to bring together professionals from all specialities of IT to a single platform.

This event does not belong to any commercial entity and is purely a community effort. Target of the event is to foster communication between IT users and professionals in Kashmir and bring them together in the form of a community.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to give a demo, a session, or help with one. You can help by taking notes on the wiki, blogging about the event, helping to promote the event, or helping with logistics. This is a community event and every body needs to do something.

A special focus will be on students guidance and career explorations. Students undergoing training in IT and allied fields are welcome to take an advantage of this unique opportunity. IT companies of the valley shall be coming together at one place and talking about technology.

Camp KashIT is a 100% Non-Profit/Community even. This even does not belong to any commercial entity. This event belongs to everyone. Target of this event is to make growth of IT community possible around this event.

This is the first ever camp going to be held in Kashmir. In future, this event will take place around 2-3 times every year. Providing a common platform to share ideas, goals and vision for Kashmiri IT fraternity.

If you are associated with IT in any way, please do make it a poit come. Let’s make this even as inclusive as possible. People from all fields of Kasmir IT industry are welcomed be it hardware, software, infrastructure or consumers.
